Join Take Five Meditation this June on a Meditation and Yoga retreat in the beautiful Fex Valley in Switzerland. Exercise your mind and body in this unique and stunning environment while enjoying the cozy comforts of the historical Hotel Fex. This retreat will teach you the fundamentals of meditation and yoga practices that range from basic mindfulness, to sound healing meditation, with gentle to rigorous yoga practices. The retreat will include healthy vegetarian food, spectacular hiking for all levels, and plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation. We look forward to sharing this adventure with you.

This package includes room, meals, and all related activities.

Arrival is on June 12th and Departure is on the 16th

Cost is $1,800 and requires a $200 non-refundable deposit. If the minimum required number of guests is not reached by April 12th you will receive a full refund.

Fun Fact: The Fex Valley has long been an inspiration to writers, philosophers and artists. Visitors to the valley have included Marc Chagall, Thomas Mann, Hermann Hesse, Theodor Adorno, Karl Kraus, and, in the earlier period Friedrich Nietzsche. Ernest Hemingway also stayed in the Hotel. Enthralled by the valley’s beauty and tranquility, all this artists returned again and again. Some of their work can be seen in the Segantini Museum in St. Moritz or in the “Nietzsche Haus” in Sils-Maria, where visitors are invited to take a stroll in the artist’s footsteps. Altogether there is a wide range of cultural activities.

Take Five Meditation Fex Retreat Itinerary

Welcome to your four day retreat in the Val Fex, the following itinerary will give you an idea of what to expect.

Day 1-

10-11am Arrive at hotel settle into room

12-1pm eat lunch

1-3pm take time to explore the hotel and immediate area, rest and relax

3-4:30pm meet group for introductions, opening meditation, questions and answers

4:30-6pm Finding your reflection spot either inside or outside of the hotel, this will include journaling.

6pm Dinner all dinners will be social and a time to get to know who you are retreating with

8pm Closing meditation

Day 2-

6-7:30am Sunrise Yoga and Meditation (gentle practice with 30 minute meditation)

8am  silent breakfast

10am  Group comes together to break silence for debriefing of morning activities, and prepare for hiking or other selected activities. (Keep in mind that you don’t have to do any of the scheduled activities if you don’t want to, uncommitted rest and relaxation time is an important part of this experience).

Lunch- Depending on how you spend your day, lunch will either be served to you at the Hotel, or sent with you in a brown bag for your excursion.

4-5pm Yoga with Meditation (intermediate practice)

6pm  Dinner

8pm Journaling and Closing Meditation

Day 3-

6-7:30am Sunrise Yoga or Qigong (gentle practice with 30 minute meditation)

8-9am silent breakfast

9:30am Group meets for day hike to Glacial Lake, bring your journal (in case of inclement weather there will be alternative activities arranged). Depart by 10am. Bag lunch.

6pm Dinner

8pm Debriefing the day and closing meditation, Questions and Answers about the following day of Silence.

Day 4- (Silent Meditation)

6-7:30am Sunrise Yoga and Meditation (gentle practice with 30 minute meditation)

8am  silent breakfast

10am Group comes together keeping the silence. Tara and Jeneen will talk about the day’s expectations and will be available all day if you need support.  A full day of silence can be challenging, but profound. There will be journaling and silent meditation all day.  You will be encouraged to seek out your reflection spot, and spend time there alone and silent, your journal will be there to help you document your experience.  During the day we will also have art supplies available for those of you who want to do some reflective drawing.

Lunch- Depending on how you choose to spend your day, lunch will either be served to you at the Hotel, or sent with you in a brown bag for your excursion.

3-4:30pm Silent Yoga and Meditation Practice/Breaking the Silence

6pm  Dinner (a night of celebration)

8pm Debriefing your experience, and Closing Meditation

Day 5-

6-7:30am Sunrise Yoga and Meditation (gentle practice with 30 minute meditation)

8am  silent breakfast

10-12 Closing Meditation and Circle.
